Asset Relation to Environment and Theme

Design Elements

Our theme for our environment is Infected/Corrupted. I believe that my model goes well with this because of the texture of the piano. I had set out to make the piano look mouldy and rotted, and I believe I have accomplished this. I also wanted the piano to have a small shine, as the piano has water damage. The keys of the piano are made of marble, and I wanted to give them a deteriorating look. The black keys have height details into them, and the white keys also look like they have deteriorated.

We decided that the owner of the library was new to music. However, since this grand piano does not have a music rack for sheet music, the owner did not want to learn music. It was a custom piano they had ordered and had made for them. A custom message was inscribed onto the side of the piano. However, the message is no longer visible. The piano also stands out in the environment and fits in well with the general aesthetic. The owner was also into other musical instruments. Additionally, some time has passed since the environment was infected. This is also shown from the rotted body of the piano, as it has taken time to become rotted.
